Yankees
Win!!!! THE.......YANKEES WIN!
Thanks to a very special friend, I was given the
opportunity to work at the new Yankee Stadium for the
scoreboard. I worked about 95% of the games this year. It
was a great year, because as you have heard: they won the
World Series. I worked in the new control room in the video
position, shading the 3 HD cameras that cover the action.
The Yankee scoreboard also has 4 robotic cameras and 2
wireless cameras. We put on a 3 hour show on the scoreboard
before the game even starts.
The scoreboard is 59' high by 101' wide, 16mm true HD LED.
I look forward to working the 2010 Yankee baseball season
as well.
This year, I also worked a game at West Point for the Army
scoreboard, and a few high school football games for MSG
Varsity sports on Cablevision, often finding myself 25' up
in a scissorlift.
Sesame
Street revisited
I have been lucky to work with a number of major artists
and performers since 1993. Some of the best ones that come
to mind are: The Rolling Stones, Sheryl Crow, Metallica,
Will Ferrell, Chris Rock, the NFL Draft, Live at Lincoln
Center, Saturday Night Live pretaped segments, Conan
O'brien pretaped segments, NHK concert series, interviews
with A-List celebrities (Luciano Pavarotti, Jessica Alba,
J-Lo, Nicholas Cage, Matthew Broderick and many more). But,
looking back over the years, one shoot that really stood
out was working with Sesame Street. It was in 1993/94, and
it was a multi-day shoot in Central Park for Sesame
Street's 25th anniversary special. I was working with the
company supplying the cameras and monitors. ( www.videocenterof

directly with the muppet operators and camera men. It
was a ton of fun seeing the muppets behind the scenes
and a great learning experience.
